Welcome to Sustainable Swansea!
Here you will find all the information you need about us and what we do.

Sustainable Swansea has been in existence since 2004. It has been at the forefront of sustainability activities and events and raises awareness and understanding of environmental sustainability in Swansea. It aims to make Swansea a more sustainable place to live, work, and visit.
Some of the specific projects and activities we work on include:
  • Get Sust! works with individuals, communities and groups on how to be more sustainable. We attend and organise events and activities, sometimes around specific themes and other times, more generally about sustainability.
  • On the Trail; a collection of nearly 30 exemplar projects and locations which forms the Swansea Sustainability Trail. Projects include, Swansea Community Farm, The Environment Centre, Down to Earth Project, Rosehill Quarry, Bishops Wood Nature Reserve, Llys Nini and Penllergare Woods - all of which show sustainability in action.
  • Digital Streams: a great informal way of gaining skills with digital photography and editing, whilst also finding out about the water environments that affect your local community.
  • Green Map Series: Leading the way in Wales with a growing collection of Green Maps including a Swansea-wide map and community green maps for Penlan, Castle, Townhill, Morriston, Pontarddulais, Gower and St Thomas and Port Tennant.
  • Sustainable Swansea Awards Scheme: A scheme which rewards sustainable action by schools, businesses, community projects, public agencies, and individuals.
  • Trailblazers: Trailblazers is a programme of outdoor and environmental activities for young people age 8-12, organised during some of the school holidays.
Sustainable Swansea is managed by Swansea Environmental Forum in partnership with the City and County of Swansea, Swansea CVS and the Environment Centre.
