The St Thomas and Port Tennant Green Map
The area of Swansea east, of the River Tawe, covers the areas of Port Tennant and St Thomas, both areas with a strong connection to Swansea's industrial past. Nestling around the base of Kilvey Hill, the area has some beautiful views and plenty of open green space to explore.
The Tenant Canal that runs for 8 miles to Aberdulais is a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation, and just north of that is the Crymln Bog National Nature Reserve. Both of these sites are home to a wide variety of flora and fauna and are perfect backdrops for a stroll in the fresh air.
