Red Café
An exemplar youth and community project promoting sustainable living. The Red Café project was established by Linden Church Trust primarily to provide activities and support for young people. There are regular youth evenings with access to a recording studio, a computer suite and a gym. The project also organises events and activities for other age groups including a parent and child cafe and a 50+ café, and generally promotes volunteering, holistic learning, sustainable living and fair trade across the community. The Café serves Fairtrade food and drink and has furniture and fittings made from reclaimed wood and recycled materials. The project offers educational activities for schools and community groups on fair trade and global citizenship. |
