Mumbles Development Trust
An exemplar in community development, engagement and action.

Mumbles Development Trust is a grassroots community organisation based at Mumbles Pier. Over the years the Trust has organised a range of community regeneration and practical self-help projects such as the Mumbles Local Produce Market, Mumbles Movies, Mumbles Woodland Management, Annual Beach Clean and Litter Picks, Oystermouth Radio, Mumbles Oyster Festival, Archaeological Dig at Mumbles Hill, Monthly Mumbles Newsletter and Mumbles Village Diary.

The Trust supports the exchange of information and opinions, and has organised various community consultations. The Trust’s projects encourage local people to get involved in community clean-up schemes, recycling, buying local produce and maintaining local woodlands. The Trust has also produced a series of guided walk leaflets.
